More about me...

As a little girl, I nurtured baby dolls and set up a school to teach them, too. I followed my passion for children into my college career and became a teacher. I believe we are created to be ever changing, ever growing, and I soon realized that I longed to nurture the hearts of the children I was teaching in a deeper way. I entered a season at home with my son and daughter, now school-aged, during which compassion and empathy for moms, dads, and kids alike grew exponentially. I knew that the surest way to help kids was through their parents, those who love them most. With this realization, I sought my master’s degree from Trevecca and now am honored to serve children and their families and women coping with anxiety, depression, past issues, family related issues, and more.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, license number 1196. I hold a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and Bachelor’s degree with dual certification in elementary and special education.

I have completed the highest level of training in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) with Karyn Purvis and am a certified TBRI Educator. I completed Levels I & II of Theraplay as well as an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I'm a Registered Play Therapist and am in the final stages of becoming a certified TraumaPlay therapist. I am also certified in the Prepare/Enrich Relationship Assessment for premarital couples.

When not with my clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, friends, reading, and walking outdoors. I set my sights on being at the beach each year as nothing seems to be more relaxing or centering than sitting at the edge of the ocean.

Sometimes the only way out is to let someone in.
