More about me...

I create a safe space where clients are affirmed, seen, and valued – we all need and deserve that support in our lives. During our time together, my goal is that clients gain a greater understanding of themselves, adaptive ways of thinking, and tangible coping tools to help them ride the waves of life.

I work with children, teens, and young adult women in individual and group counseling. Through my past experience as a school-based counselor, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds and have a passion for supporting clients with anxiety, emotional literacy and regulation, grief and loss, self-compassion, and self-esteem. I truly value the importance of the therapeutic relationship between client and counselor and each client’s own unique stories and experiences. As a result, my approach to counseling is attachment-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I also incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, as well as play therapy techniques into counseling sessions.

I began my career as an elementary teacher after receiving bachelor’s degrees in educational studies and psychology from SMU in Dallas, TX. As a teacher, I quickly learned that in order for students to read their ABCs and add their 123s, I first needed to tend to their emotional needs. Because of this, I became passionate about supporting the personal growth and well-being of my students, which led me to return to the classroom myself and earn a Masters of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt. I am a National Certified Counselor and LPC-MHSP.

A little bit more about me – I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and my favorite colors are blue and periwinkle. I can often be found listening to podcasts or Taylor Swift and re-watching one of my favorite TV shows. When I am not with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and taking walks in the sunshine with my pup, Oakley.

Sometimes the only way out is to let someone in.
