Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.
Hellen Keller
I work with children through play therapy and with individuals and families from an attachment perspective. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I am currently a practicum student pursuing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trevecca Nazarene University. I hold professional memberships with the American Counseling Association and American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and I am eager to continue my professional training in the field of family therapy.

Family has been incredibly important to me throughout my life. The family I grew up in taught me the importance of compassion, empathy, communication, and caring for one another. When I was in middle school, my family went through the process of adoption, and welcomed two new younger brothers into our home. The blessings and trials of adoption were life changing for me. Because of this process, my heart and passion for helping children and families throughout the adoption process grew immensely. My values of adoption, family, compassion, empathy, and caring for others, have played a role in driving me to be a counselor to help others.

I believe that each person is created intentionally by God and should be seen as a whole individual in the context of their relationships. I take a holistic and systemic approach to therapy.

Outside of the counseling setting, I love to spend time hiking, rock climbing, and exploring with my husband.
