The clinical training experience is one filled with a variety of new encounters, emotions, revelations of self and the world around us. Therefore, the supervisory relationship becomes a crucial learning environment designed to support a trainees' entry into the field and to provide a safe holding space for the processing of new clinical and person- of- self experiences that are sure to arise. The role of a Supervisor and the quality of connection that a trainee has to them is of great importance as the trainee learns how to navigate this new clinical terrain and build their professional identity in the counseling field.

I consider it an honor to walk alongside new clinicians and to facilitate their growth and development as trainees and future professionals. I am intentional about creating a safe, supportive and educational working alliance between myself and each trainee that will support them in the pursuit of their professional goals. My supervision style is heavily influenced by attachment and systems theory and I bring a focused, warm and relational energy to my supervisory encounters. I am committed not only to your growth as a professional, but to your growth and development as an individual. I strive to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that is welcoming of your most true and authentic self.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling, am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (TN License #1165) and a Registered Play Therapist. I have completed training in EMDR level 1 & 2 (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Theraplay™ level 1 & 2, Group Theraplay™, TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention), Prepare/ Enrich, TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and TraumaPlay™. Currently, I'm in the process of becoming an AAMFT approved supervisor and am equipped to provide supervision for those pursing licensure towards LMFT status. I am also an approved TraumaPlay™ Supervisor and provide TraumaPlay™ supervision for those seeking to meet their level 1 & 2 requirements.

Aside from work, I find great joy in opportunities that expand creativity, connection, curiosity and adventure, especially when they involve my spouse, children and friends.
