Counseling for Adults, Teens & Children

COVID-19 Response

At HopeTree Counseling we continue to monitor and adapt to the situation created by COVID-19. Above all, we want everybody to stay safe and healthy. To this end we are following guidelines provided by the World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control (“CDC”) and The Presidents Coronavirus Guidelines for America.

While we believe this disruption is temporary, it is also one to take seriously. In an effort to reasonably respond (not react) to COVID-19 threat and keep our services available, HopeTree Counseling is taking the following measures:

  • Since we believe in-person counseling is the most effective, continue to meet with clients in the office as this falls under the 10-person limit suggested by the President's Guidelines. However, some seating arrangements may be different to allow for the CDC's six-foot distance. Additionally, surfaces will be sprayed with Lysol in-between client sessions.
  • At the client’s request, meet at the front door to the office building so clients can wait in their vehicles instead of the waiting room.
  • Waive the 24-hour cancelation policy temporarily for issues relating to illness (including quarantines and fear of illness).
  • Provide telehealth services (phone or video counseling) for clients that are unable to come to the office. Note that for professional ethical reasons, this requires clients to read and sign an informed consent document (done online through the client portal) prior to the session and thus requires at least one day notice to schedule.

Our hearts go out to those who have lost a loved one to the COVID-19 virus and/or whose health is affected by it. We also care about those of you who haven’t caught the virus but may be affected by social isolation, stress & anxiety, employment and/or financial concerns (among other things) resulting from indirect effects of these unprecedented times. We believe that by cooperating and caring for each other, we will get through this.
