Write your story as it needs to be written. Write it honestly and tell it as best as you can. I’m not sure that there are any other rules. Not ones that matter.

I hold a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. I counsel individuals and couples and my enduring love for story has persisted into my work within the therapy room. I am a Prepare/Enrich Certified Counselor, and I love utilizing both Narrative Therapy techniques as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy to help my clients reclaim authorship over their lives. I'm supervised by Rob Curwen (TN LMFT #762)

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. I worked in the engineering world for 5 years, but a drive to work with people and be of service to others pushed me to re-examine my career. I was then fortunate enough to work as a paraprofessional in a middle school special education classroom and began my classes in graduate school. This process of finding my own story, and recontextualizing what first felt like sidetracks and false starts, has been endlessly useful in helping my clients see how the journey can be winding and twisting before arriving at the destination.

In my spare time I enjoy hiking and being outdoors, board games of all kinds, and reading anything I can get my hands on.
