Children see magic because they look for it.
Christopher Moore
I describe myself as a person of many passions. Counseling has provided the space to bring them all together. I have spent time in numerous positions working with children and love the opportunity to give them the space to explore, identify, and work through emotions. I have always had a passion for movement and the arts because of how they can help us process when we don’t have the words. Play therapy and expressive arts provide an outlet to help us work through our emotions and achieve our goals.

Primarily, I counsel children (ages 3-12) but also counsel adults and adolescents. I work with clients on an individual basis as well as offering parenting support. Divorce, ADHD, anxiety, big behaviors, perfectionism, sexuality/gender identity, and other challenges due to life transitions are some, but not all, of the issues I help clients through. I use a person-centered approach with clients, which provides a nonjudgmental environment to build trust with my clients and help facilitate self-exploration.

I have received my M.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy at Lipscomb University and am currently working towards licensure in Tennessee under the supervision of Summer Curwen (LMFT license #1196). Previously, I received my bachelor’s in fine arts in Musical Theatre at Southeast Missouri State University. I have professional membership with both the American Counseling Association and the Association for Play Therapy.

When I’m not working with clients, I can be found training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, baking a new recipe, reading, or goofing around with my husband.
